After spending the first four weeks of the regular season on the road, East LA College Women's Volleyball finally got to open their home slate on Friday with a split doubleheader against Cerro Coso and then Chaffey. The pack won both games in straight sets, 3-0 each.

East LA Grinds Out Five-Set Thriller Against Long Beach on Sophomore Night

Down 2-1 and trailing 14-12 in the 4th set, East LA rattled off five straight points to take the lead and would not give it back, winning the set 25-19. In the final frame, Both teams went back and forth before the Huskies took a 12-10 lead. The teams would trade points, but with ELAC leading 14-12, LBCC's Jordyn Hollins committed an attack error to seal the set and match for the Green.

Pack Topples Undefeated Vikings in Long Beach

5-0 Week Boosts Huskies to New Heights in State Rankings

Off their biggest regular-season win ever in beating Mt. SAC Wednesday night, East LA College Women's Volleyball then tacked on three more wins at the 3rd Annual Eagle Invitational at LA Mission over the weekend. Combined with last Monday's win at LA City, the Huskies went 5-0 this week and enjoyed a 13-spot jump in the CCCWVCA State Top-25 Standings. It's the highest ranking earned in program history.
