No more "interim": after two straight seasons of ELAC Women's Wrestling finishing third overall in State, Angel Solis has won the head coach position outright. Angel Solis took over the program before the start of the 2024 season from Miguel Soto, the men's head coach.

Coach Solis and East LA hosted the 2025 Women's Wrestling State Championships in April. He had two wrestlers earn All-American honors, the third straight season in which the program nabbed multiple All-American nods.

This summer, Coach Solis will look to add fresh talent to what is one of the best women's wrestling programs in the state.
