The home faithful finally got their first look up-close tonight at their 2025-26 East LA College women's basketball squad. After an back-and-forth first half against the Citrus College Owls, the Huskies took control in third quarter and wouldn't let up from there, beating the Owls 79-67. Sophomore G Moriah Mosley led all scorers with 27 points on a super-fueled 12-15 shooting night.

ELAC had a 20-13 lead going into the second quarter, but Citrus clawed back thanks to offensive rebounding and Husky turnovers giving them extra possessions. East LA shot 6-14 for the period while Citrus shot 9-20, and the home Green found themselves down one at half, 37-36.

In the decisive third quarter, the Pack dug in. Mosley began her second-half explosion by shooting 5-6 from the field - she would help lead ELAC to shoot 10-15 from the floor during the period. Meanwhile, ELAC cleaned the glass at a much better clip than Citrus (11 boards to five) and held the Owls to 5-16 shooting. East outscored Citrus 24-14 in the quarter and took a 60-51 lead into the fourth. Mosley kept up her assault, hitting all four of her fourth-quarter shots including a three-pointer. Between her scoring and fellow sophomore F Sarah Ramos gobbling up every rebound she could get her hands on, the Huskies pulled away.

Ramos had her eighth double-double on the season, tallying 12 points and a whopping 19 rebounds; she's currently ninth in the state in rebounding (12.3 rpg). Sophomore PG Kayla Buffington had a near triple-double with 12 points, nine rebounds and eight assists. And freshman G Alisson Davile added 15 points four rebounds and three blocks. Her three free throws at the very end of the third quarter were critical to the Huskies taking control into the fourth. She was a perfect 5-5 from the line.
